Agreement to these terms
These Terms & Conditions apply when you access, purchase or use services provided by DuneHost.
By placing an order, creating an account or continuing to use a DuneHost service, you agree to these terms together with any service-specific information shown during the ordering process.
If you are purchasing on behalf of a business or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms on its behalf.
Our services
DuneHost provides services that may include website hosting, domain registration and management, website design, online-store development, care plans, WordPress-related products and other digital services.
Features, limits and pricing may vary by product. The description shown on the relevant product or checkout page forms part of your service agreement.
We may improve, replace or discontinue individual features where reasonably necessary for security, reliability, compatibility or service development.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account details accurate and for protecting your login credentials.
You must notify us promptly if you believe your account, website or credentials have been compromised.
Activity performed through your account may be treated as authorised by you unless you have informed us of unauthorised access.
Billing, renewals & payments
Prices are displayed in the currency shown at checkout. Hosting may be offered on monthly, annual or other billing cycles depending on the product.
Recurring services remain payable until cancelled in accordance with the applicable service terms. Renewal invoices may be generated before the renewal date to provide time for payment.
Where automatic payment is enabled, you authorise the applicable payment provider to attempt collection of amounts due.
Promotional pricing, credits or discounts may be subject to separate conditions and may not apply to future renewals unless stated otherwise.
Unpaid services may be suspended or terminated after reasonable notice. Restoring a suspended service may depend on payment of outstanding amounts.
Domain names
Domain registrations, renewals and transfers are also subject to the rules and policies of the relevant registry and registrar.
A domain order does not guarantee registration until the registry or registrar confirms completion.
You are responsible for providing accurate registrant information and for maintaining any information required by the applicable registry.
Domain availability, renewal periods, transfer rules and redemption fees can differ between extensions.
We are not responsible for the loss of a domain where renewal fails because of unpaid invoices, inaccurate contact information, registry restrictions or events outside our reasonable control.
Hosting & acceptable use
Hosting services must be used lawfully and in a way that does not harm the security, availability or reputation of our systems or other customers.
You must not knowingly use DuneHost services to:
- distribute malware, malicious code or harmful files;
- send unsolicited bulk or abusive email;
- host unlawful or infringing material;
- attempt unauthorised access to systems or accounts;
- conduct attacks, scanning or disruptive network activity;
- use excessive resources in a way that materially affects other customers;
- circumvent service limits or security controls.
We may investigate suspected abuse and take reasonable steps to protect customers, infrastructure and third parties.
Backups & data
Where backups are included with a hosting service, they are intended as an additional recovery measure and not as the customer's only copy of important data.
You remain responsible for maintaining independent copies of business-critical files, databases and other information where appropriate.
Although we take reasonable steps to maintain backup systems, no backup system can guarantee recovery in every circumstance.
Web design & project work
Project scope, deliverables, pricing and timelines may be described in a quote, proposal or project agreement. Those project-specific terms apply in addition to these general terms.
Timelines may depend on the customer providing required content, approvals, access credentials, payments and other requested materials on time.
Material changes requested after a scope has been agreed may require additional time or fees.
Unless agreed otherwise, customers are responsible for ensuring that text, images, trademarks and other content supplied to us may lawfully be used in their project.
Third-party services
Some DuneHost services rely on third-party providers such as registries, registrars, payment processors, software vendors, certificate authorities or network infrastructure providers.
Those providers may operate under their own terms, policies and availability commitments.
We are not responsible for failures caused solely by a third-party service outside our reasonable control, although we will take reasonable steps to assist where the affected service forms part of a DuneHost product.
Suspension & termination
We may suspend or restrict a service where reasonably necessary because of non-payment, abuse, security risk, unlawful activity or a serious breach of these terms.
Where circumstances allow, we will try to provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue before permanent termination.
You may request cancellation of eligible recurring services through the Client Area or another method made available by DuneHost.
Cancellation does not automatically create a refund for amounts already paid unless a refund is required by law or expressly provided under the applicable service terms.
Availability & liability
We aim to provide reliable services, but internet, hosting and software services cannot be guaranteed to operate without interruption or error at all times.
Scheduled maintenance, emergency maintenance, network events, third-party failures and circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect availability.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, DuneHost is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of profits, business opportunity or anticipated savings.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be prohibited by applicable law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services, legal requirements, security practices or business operations.
The latest version will be published on this page with an updated revision date.
Where a change materially affects an existing paid service, we will take reasonable steps to provide appropriate notice.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the United Arab Emirates.
Any rights available to consumers under mandatory applicable law remain unaffected by these terms.
